Hello, I am Eric Mears. I have been an instructor with this program since February 2011. Before working here, I served for 20 years and 5 days in the US NAVY. I was stationed on 3 ships, USS Mauna Kea, USS Mount Hood and USS Detroit. Additionally, I served at duties in College Station, Texas (NROTC TAMU-Support Staff), Keflavik, Iceland (my family was with me), as a Recriter here in Plainview then my last duty was in Gulfport, Mississippi assigned to the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74 (NMCB-74). Upon my retirement from the NAVY, I was employed with the Dollar General Corporation as the Store Manager for their Olton and 2 Plainview stores, from August 2008 to February 2011.

     I am married to Cynthia (Beals) Mears and on June 25th, of this year, we celebrated our 34th year together. She has worked for McDonalds over 20 years and in various positions. We have two children, Erica and Troy, both of whom graduated from PHS. Erica is single with 2 daughters and Troy is married with a daughter and son. Both of them live here in Plainview.
