Curriculum
Coronado Middle School strives to cultivate student growth and learning in a positive, supportive, student-centered school environment. Our focus is to learn, grow, and succeed together. We do this through providing academic lessons that are data-driven and delivered with research-based instructional strategies which increase student engagement and content mastery. The scope and sequence of each core academic subject are guided by the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) Resource System which is a quality curriculum designed for targeted success and aligned assessment. Students are held to high academic standards and expectations by all staff members. Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP) core academic classes are offered to 7th and 8th-grade students who qualify.
