As principal of Estacado since 2008, I have enjoyed getting to know students and helping them along their educational paths. I enjoy working with faculty and staff to help them become the best version of themselves. As an instructional leader on this campus, I am proud of our progress each year. Estacado has a great culture built around our motto “Estacado equals Excellence”. We want all our students to excel in everything they do including academics and extracurricular activities. I am a lifelong educator beginning in 1993 teaching English and coaching. I love this school district and the fine people in it. I am married to my wife Shannon and have 3 children: Payton, Landry, and Preslee. (All of whom have attended Plainview ISD).

- Bachelors---General Studies, Math Concentration---West Texas State University, Canyon, Texas
- Elementary Self Contained (1-8)

I have been involved in education since 1990. I have a passion for helping kids and watching them grow. I spent 23 years in the classroom teaching middle school Math, Science and Social Studies before becoming an Assistant Principal. I have coached girls basketball, softball, cross country and track. One of the biggest rewards is seeing former students that have grown into productive citizens of our community. It is an honor to work with your children.
Originally from Canyon, Texas, I moved to Plainview in 2008. I have 3 grown children, Leland, Kenda and Monty and 3 sweet grandchildren, Braylen, Makenlee, and Hayse. In my spare time, I am watching my grandchildren showing their lambs, steers, and heifers at major stock shows and watching them play football and basketball and I am chasing my sons all over the country rodeoing (saddle bronc riding and team roping), my best friend is my daughter, who is my rock. My faith and my family are very important to me.

- M.Ed. in Educational Technology Leadership/Administration - Lamar University, 2010
- Principal EC-12
- Elementary 1-8
- English 1-8
- Math 4-8
- ESL EC-12

As the Instructional Technologist/Registrar on our campus, I have a dual role. I handle student registration, grades, and progress reports/report cards as the registrar and aid our students and teachers in using technology effectively in the classroom as the instructional technologist which is the role I love most. I began my career as an educator in 1990 and have always served at the middle school level where I have had the pleasure of teaching ELAR, Social Studies, Math, and Technology Applications over the years. I thoroughly enjoy teaching kids and my colleagues new ways that technology can be used in the classroom to ignite learning. One of my favorite quotes is from George Couros, author of The Innovator's Mindset, in which he says, "Technology will never replace great teachers, but in the hands of great teachers it's transformational." I believe that. We have a lot of great teachers at Estacado Middle School and I’m proud to work alongside them. In my free time, you will find me enjoying spending time with my family and pets, coaching a YMCA sports team, and serving in the Children’s Ministry at First Baptist Church Plainview where my husband, James, is the Children and Families Pastor.

I was born in Silverton, Texas, but quickly moved to Plainview, Texas when I started second grade. I have lived in the great town of Plainview ever since the second grade and received an excellent education. The teachers of Plainview supported me all the way through my education and my struggle with Dyslexia. At Plainview High School, I was involved in all types of activities such as Football, Track, One Act Play, and theater. I was even the LaVern Roach Award recipient in 2005. From Plainview High, I continued my education at Plainview’s own Wayland Baptist University where I received a Bachelors of Science Degree in secondary mathematics. In 2010, I started my career teaching at Kress Sr/Jr High. In 2012, I moved to PISD where I had the pleasure of teaching 8th-grade math with a wonderful group of teachers for three years. I loved helping students understand the basics of algebra through 8th-grade math but knew that I could make a greater impact on students in an administrative setting. In 2015, I accepted an assistant principal's job for Estacado Middle School, and have experienced many joys serving in this position. I have an amazing wife and we have four kids together that attend Plainview Elementary schools. Through all of my accomplishments and struggles my God has been there for me and provided a congregation of people to support me at Harvest Christian Fellowship. As the years move on, I look forward to helping your young scholar get the best education available.
